John Cusack

I've always thought John Cusack was a brilliant actor and for years, literally years, I've been meaning to see his film High Fidelity. Since watching it last night for the first time, I've watched it 5 times in 24 hours. There are just so many brilliant lines which he delivers in the most convincing way possible. This movie has made me fall completely and utterly in love with him, it's very difficult to explain how this movie has effected me.

I don't understand why someone my age is supposed to like people such as Robert Pattinson from that shit movie Twilight. I prefer actors that can act so well that I'm convinced it's real and someone just happened to film it. You can have the most brilliant script in the world and if you don't have the actor to match it, it's gonna suck. I don't think I've seen a single movie where I've thought "John Cusack sucked in this" - it's remarkable!

My friends who are around my age say "HE'S NOT HOT!" as if that's the main contributing factor to liking everyone. First of all, it's personality and acting abilities above all else. Secondly, what the fuck are you talking about? He's bloody gorgeous!

If you've not yet seen the movie, I can't recommend it highly enough, it's just brilliant!

Without sounding like a complete creep, I'd love to get the chance to meet him one day, even briefly.

Sonic Collection

Since losing/misplacing all my Sega Megadrive Sonic games (except for the first one) I decided I wanted to start fresh with my Sonic Collection - there aren't too many games on the list as of yet but that's partly due to the fact I don't have much money! This collection as of 6th of July 2010 is PATHETIC. I need to make it grow larger but there are just too many things I need to buy first eg. a new TV for my room and a Wii.

Sonic The Hedgehog (megadrive)
Sonic Heroes (PS2)
Sonic Mega Collection Plus (PS2)
Sonic Jam (Sega Saturn)
Sonic Unleashed (PS3)
Sonic R (PC)
Sonic Gems Collection (PS2)

Personal Top Things of the Noughties

Fucking hate the term "Noughties" but it's been used twice now and let's try to avoid saying it from now until the day I die. I've been meaning to do a blog for a long long time about the last decade and what I really loved about it. So here we go, let's try again...

Top 5 Albums:
1. Buzzcocks - Buzzcocks.
2. Love - The Beatles
3. Steal Yer Heart - The Briefs
4. Guitar Romantic - The Exploding Hearts
5. Flat Pack Philosohpy - Buzzcocks

Top 5 Films:
1. This Is England
2. 8 Mile
3. Grand Torino
4. Ghost Town
5. Finding Nemo

Top 5 TV Shows:
1. Extras
2. The Chaser's War On Everything
3. Futurama
4. Family Guy
5. Mighty Boosh

Top 5 Stand-Up Comedians:
1. Ricky Gervais
2. Ross Noble
3. Bill Bailey
4. Fiona O'Loughlin
5. Jack Dee

Top 3 Books:
1. "John" by Cynthia Lennon
2. "The Python's Autobiography" by the Monty Python team
3. "Dudley Moore: An Intimate Story" by Rena Frucher

Top 5 Video Games:
1. Resident Evil 4
2. Crash Bandicoot Wrath Of Cortex
3. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
4. New Super Mario Bros
5. Little Big Planet

Top 5 Concerts:
1. The Buzzcocks
2. The Who
3. Alice Cooper
4. Marky Ramone
5. Neil Young

"I once knew a dwarf who used to carry his own sets of stairs for when he went in libraries"

Ricky Gervais is no doubt the funniest man on the planet right now. I absolutely love him and, if I was given the opportunity, I would marry him in a heartbeat. There have been a few good TV shows out in the past decade or so, but nothing compares to Extras, The Office, his live shows or his movies. He's absolutely brilliant.

Screw being a teenager.

You're not quite a kid.
You're not quite and adult.
You're not responsible enough to talk for yourselves.
One day your friends are the greatest people, the next you want to greet their face with a sledgehammer.
Who am I talking about specifically? Who else but the same two fucking people I always find myself writing about in this blog when I really shouldn't care at all.

After last nights post I made, I did write a letter to Panda which was both truthful and to the point. Do I get a response? Yes. From Panda? No. I get a fucking letter in my letter box this morning in response to my letter TO PANDA from PANDA'S MOTHER LEAH.
When my mum told me that, I just about lost it. Why the fuck can't that bitch just stay out of my business, as well as her daughters. That was my initial thought... but then I thought to myself "well, obviously Panda hasn't got a problem letting her mum deal with confrontation of any type, and she didn't even have the balls to tell me to, at the very least, piss off and leave her alone."

So now Leah wants to catch up with my mum and I "for a cuppa" and sort out the problems. She does not, however, wish for Panda to be there because Leah" cannot afford to have her daughter turned against her." - Bollocks to you and yours, missy.

Mum and I have talked it over angrily and agreed that the pair of them are a pack of toss-pots but we will catch up for a cup of tea at a cafe somewhere. I've warned mum though if things don't get to the point, I will probably go off my nut at them. If it all gets sorted, that's fine, although at this rate I really don't care. If things don't get sorted, I'm saying whatever is on my mind at the time and they can swallow the truth, grin and bear it.

Fuck being a teenager.

I feel like a typical teenage girl douchebag.

If you read my blogs (like I know say 5 people do :-P) you'll know the whole fiasco that stirred up about my friend Panda and her mum Leah. I've been feeling a bit shit lately and I have a feeling it may have something to do with wanting to forgive Panda. To be fair, Panda never really did much (although that was one of the problems, she could never do anything.) and 99% of the time it was Leah that was the problem causer. I don't think I could ever forgive Leah, at least not for a long time anyway, but I started just feeling like I kinda miss Panda's company. So I thought I'd make a list of pros and cons as to why I should or shouldn't try speaking to her.

Pros:
- We've never had a reason to not speak to each other before this and it just seems like this one reason shouldn't make those years of being best friends disappear.
- We've got so many things in common that a lot of my other friends don't so I kind of miss talking about our favourite things and getting way too excited about them.
- I just generally miss being around her sometimes and going places with her. We've not done anything in months and it's just really weird to me.

Cons:
- Her boyfriend is a douche-bag who has started to transform her into one as well. We never had a thing to quarrel over until this guy came about. I tried giving him chances but he's always just seemed like a freak to me.
- Her mother is a psycho bitch who started the whole huge problem. It was her that started using us like puppets for her dramatic pleasure.
- Due to the mother issue, I will probably never be able to step foot in that house again unless I was sure that she was never going to be around. It would also make things difficult if she wanted to come here as I would either have to go to hers to pick her up or her mum would have to come here to pick her up. I would rather hang myself with some tennis shoelaces.
- I can't keep up with her phases. One minute she's fine, the next minute she's a full on mormon, the next minute she's into fucking her boyfriend, the next minute she's into playing the bass, the next minute she is an emo-hippy.
- She can never act as herself, she's always gotta be trying too hard to be like someone else. I can't stand people like this, I'm all for individuality.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head, but I can see there's tons more cons than pros which is a bit worrying. I've decided to text her to ask if she'll talk and I'll take it from there and see if it can't all be fixed. If she doesn't, then I guess from now on I can just forget about it, but if she says yes, it could maybe be a good thing.

"10 Reasons Gay People Shouldn't Marry"

I found this on IMDB when I was looking at Ellen Degeneres' profile and when I saw the title of the message post, I thought "This person cannot be serious!"
So I opened it up and to my complete surprise, I read this:

01) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

02) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

03) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

04) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

05) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

06) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

07) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

08) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

09) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

I was laughing my head off, it's such a relief to read a satirical post once in a while.
